The Fraze Mower: Efficient and Versatile Turf Renovation with Redexim

June 18, 2024

Turf managers often struggle to maintain healthy, pristine surfaces amid challenges such as removing excess thatch and managing unwanted grass species on natural sports surfaces. While hybrid turf is more resilient, it is subject to more foot traffic and requires frequent renovation. Our fraze mower (also spelled fraise mower) called the Turf-Stripper is a versatile solution to these problems. This machine simplifies turf renovation, making it a must-have for sports grounds, golf courses and turf maintenance contractors.

Fraze Mower Features and Technology

Our Turf-Stripper focuses on precise removal of the natural root zone for renovation purposes on both types of system. However, in addition to precision, this fraze mower (also called fraise mower) has been specifically designed for ease of use and renovation. The machine is available in two working widths: Turf- Stripper 1200 (1.20m) and Turf-Stripper 2000 (2.00m).

Multiple Rotor Options for Different Applications

  • As standard, the Redexim fraze mower features a progressive configuration of spiralled fraze knives on the standard rotor to cut and lift the rootzone for natural surfaces. This rotor also allows the use of scarification knives.
  • The optional rotor for Hybrid Pitches uses carbide-tipped hybrid knives mounted to paddles to create more draft, which is required on harder hybrid systems to lift the rootzone away from stitched systems while leaving the fiber in situ.

Side Arm Conveyor for Easy Debris Removal

  • The side arm conveyor efficiently transfers debris into a trailer that can run parallel to the Turf-Stripper The cleaning process is quicker and leaves the newly stripped area ready for the next steps. The lift conveyor makes our fraze mower or fraise mower an ideal solution for comprehensive turf renovation.

The versatility of the Fraze Mower: From Light Scalping to exposing bare soil

The Redexim frazee mower’s design is based on proven methods of turf renovation. It effectively removes unwanted material, ensuring the turf is left in optimal condition for regrowth and easy maintenance.

With the Turf-Stripper, you can choose different depths depending on your requirements and how thorough and disruptive you want the process to be. Opting for a less deep setting is less disruptive, allowing the field to recover more quickly and become playable sooner, although it is also less thorough.

The versatility of this machine allows it to perform tasks ranging from light scalping to remove stolons while leaving rhizomes intact, to deeper settings that expose bare soil. When set to the right depth, the Turf-Stripper works well in removing excess thatch and managing undesired grass species.
